SUMMER 2026 INFORMATION

Polar Vortex FC was approved as a new AYSA Affiliated Club on Feb 18, 2025. This means we are now independent as a club. We continue to have a good close working relationship with Palmer Soccer Club and will continue to collaborate with them. This expands opportunities for our kids.

The 2026 summer season will tentatively run from approximately mid-May until early August.​ 

​Open tryouts for new players will be hosted on March 29th from 10-11:30am at the Mat-Su Borough gym (350 E Dahlia Ave, Palmer, AK 99645). Please email polarvortexsoccer@gmail.com or text 907-982-3122 to RSVP.

Registration for the summer 2026 season will be open until April 1st, 2026. See Registration page for

Based on projected registration numbers, Polar Vortex will be fielding six teams for summer 2026. All six teams practice at the Palmer High School turf field with most games hosted in Palmer, Chugiak, or Anchorage. The parents, players, and coaches of each individual team can collectively decide to participate in tournaments in other locations in Alaska such as Fairbanks, the Kenai Peninsula, or Southeast Alaska.

2007-2011 Girls Team: M, T, W from 7-9pm

2007-2011 Boys Team: T, W, Th from 5-7pm

2012-2013 Girls Team: M, T, W from 7-9pm

2012-2013 Boys Team: T, W, Th from 7-9pm

2014-2016 Girls Team: M, T, W from 6-7pm

2014-2016 Boys Team: T, W, Th from 6-7pm
